Sunday 28th October 2007
Thirtieth
Sunday in Ordinary Time
Reflection
To be at rights with God means
having the right relationship with him. We must
recognise firstly that the good things in our
lives are ultimately his gift to us. The greatest
gift of all is the gift of salvation, given to
us through the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ.
It is the realisation of this which saves us from
pride and helps us to walk humbly and thankfully
with our God. Secondly we recognise that our weakness
and sin can only be overcome by the grace of God.
The gift of salvation comes to us through reconciliation
with him and with others.
