Birth of John the Baptist


St Mary’s Church, Bellaghy.

Weekday Masses

Monday and Friday @ 7.30pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday @ 9.30am.
Vigil (Sat) @ 6.30pm; Sunday @ 11.30am.


Confessions:
Every Friday 7.00pm—7.20pm.
Every Saturday 6.00pm—6.20pm.

First Friday: after Thursday morning Mass and
1st Friday evening 7.00pm—7.20pm.

Mass on Friday 29th April will be at 1pm.
The Wedding Mass will be the mass of the day

CEMETERY SUNDAY (Next Sunday)
Ceremony will begin at 7.30pm. We appeal to everyone to come in good time, to allow for traffic and parking.

Holy Water will be provided at various points for sprinkling on the graves: people should bring empty bottles for the purpose.

We appeal for stewards to help with parking. Volunteers would need to gather at the car park at 6.15pm to get organised.

Forty Hours Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will commence after 6.30pm mass next Saturday 30th June and conclude with Benediction @ 6.30pm on Sunday evening (prior to blessing of the graves). We are providing a time sheet for any family, individuals or groups who would volunteer to spend an hour of prayer in the Church over this time, especially during Saturday night/Sunday morning. The sheet is available in the Sacristy

Sunday 1st July is being set aside as a day of family prayer in the Parish. 11.30am Mass has been specially planned for the day, with emphasis on the family. We would like as many people to come as family to this mass (whether it is your usual Sunday mass or not). Also on the day there will be 40 hours Adoration of the
Blessed Sacrament and Prayer for our dead (Cemetery Sunday).
Invitations will go out to all families.

A petition tree will be erected. Parishioners are invited to place their petitions on the tree, these will be offered up during the Family Mass.

Choir Practice on Monday 25th June @ 8pm in preparation for Family Mass.

Carmelite Retreat Centre: A Mass with Healing Service will take place on Tuesday 26th June @ 8pm. All are welcome to attend.

The Retreat Centre will also host a Non Residential Weekend Workshop—for those interested in getting free & staying free from negative emotions such as anger, fear, jealousy & resentment on Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July. Cost £120. Contact John 0035374938223 or 00353879063936 for details

Young People & Suicide:
A Youth Vigil will be held in Ballymagroarty Parish Church on Sun 24th June 7pm—11.30pm for all those affected by suicide and also for all young people. The evening will be run by young people for young people. See poster in church porch for more details.

Youth Trip to Croagh Padraig: A trip to Westport combined with a hike to Croagh Padraig. The trip will be on Sun 22 July for those aged 18-30. Persons in need of care or aged 80 or over can obtain special application forms from the Pilgrimage Office.
