Sunday 6th April 2008
Third
Sunday of Easter

Reflection
On the road to Eammaus, the
disciples were slow to recognize Jesus or understand
why he had to die and rise from the dead. Jesus
explained the scriptures to them and they then
recognized him in the breaking of bread. Our celebration
of the Eucharist reflects their experience. We
listen with open hearts to the scriptures, we
hear Jesus speak to us, and we recognize and receive
him in the bread which is his Body.
